Majink Nepali Lessons
I can't find a teach-yourself Nepali site on the web. I can find Manx lessons, Tagalog lessons, even Hindi and Urdu lessons, but no real Nepali lessons. So I'm making one. The upside of this is that there will now be a teach-yourself Nepali site on the web. The down side is that it will be written by a complete and total non-native speaker who is herself just learning this stuff.
Well, I'm not totally without credentials. I've got a degree in Linguistics and a background in writing and explaining stuff to people. And I swear I'm not just making this stuff up as I go along. But if you are even this -> <- much more familiar with Nepali than I, please feel free to mail me and tell me what's up.
Each section has a set of new words and/phrases followed by a discussion. Each lesson has a quiz associated with it. Make sure you have a _really_ good grasp of a lesson before moving on to the next one.
This is a self-propelled program. You should be spending at least a week on each section. I suggest making flash cards of the vocabulary and creating your own self-tests from the examples given.
Send comments, questions, and corrections to maj@majink.org.
